Fashion Item of the Week

I have a thing for short boots and spend pretty well all of Fall and Winter in them in lieu of casual shoes. I'll spend good money on shoes and boots because I have good feet and want to keep them that way, plus my feet are complainers....and I have found that no matter what the make, style or construction, I have never had luck with cheap shoes. Plus shoe size is consistent so they don't succumb to my diet woes.

These cognac studded boots are my newest favorite boots. They are made by Frye, super comfy, fit true to size, and are fully lined in lovely soft leather. The buckles and studs make me feel like going roping this weekend in them .

Buckles, shiny studs, stacked low heel....what's not to love.

OUT TAKE....Foster dog curiosity....

  2. I used to have a wonderful pair of Frye man's boots, but they were destroyed by a cobbler who machine stitched them, cutting across the hand-stitching so they fell apart along the serrated edge...

  4. I must have good shoes too. Had foot surgery once...ugh. These boots are beauties. Frye does have the best reputation. We have lots of horse people around here and they all wear them and they last a long time.

  6. I LOVE your boots. I learned from my mum that good shoes were worth the price and I have no foot problems either. My daughter on the other hand, had to learn the hard way.

  7. By the way, do you wear these just with pants or skirts too?

  8. I think I love boots as much as you do ... for opposite reasons. My feet are horrific and boots are the only fashion item I can cover them in ... pain free (well almost.) I LOVE your Frye boots!!!

I am all about funky biker looking boots lately.

Pup never paid attention to our shoes.. god bless him. But he did eat a few pairs of the husbands socks when he was a baby. But he returned them !!

  13. I'm with you on the better shoe thing. I've found that my feet let me know when I try to wear discount shoes, and it's just not worth it to me. I love those boots, they are perfect for so many outfits! Way to go on your "found" money too!
