Eye Contact.

I do love to make eye contact with a horse.
Get close enough to smell him and meet his stare.
Or a wonderful bull like Tiger.

Leap

I love this photo.  That's my girl Ky in the front and my son's future sister in law in the background.
This was taken on our girls trip to St. Lucia. There were 8 women. 3 mums and 5 daughters.
For some reason, they love to take pictures of them leaping.
Wish I could look like that leaping!

Whingeing

Ok, I'm a suck.  Once I have made a decision about something, I mentally move on.
Last week we frantically finished every last thing at the cottage, touching up paint, fluffing pillows and shining the floors.  The For Sale sign has been up for 10 days.
Zilch....not a phone call.
No enquiries of any kind.
No agent interest.
Nothing.....
It's likely the wrong time of year.  This is a vacation property after all.
But I optimistically thought someone would be looking.
And fall in love with it...
And want to sleep here....
And enjoy a pot of tea.

Now I know that 10 days is nothing, especially in a bad market.  I don't expect it to have sold, only to have generated some interest.  But I tend to feel that the first week is the most important.  When agents who have waiting clients come by to see things.
I am not a Patient person.
In my head I am outta there.
Mr. Raz is there this weekend having a guys boating and beer drinking weekend.
I hope they leave it spotless
and the Pink Bits
Just So.

Friday Photo Challenge

This week's challenge was to photograph something that showed REFLECTION and creating another dimension in the picture.

I have a wall of mirrors behind the sofa at the cottage, deliberately hung to reflect the water outside the windows opposite. But they reflect so much more, depending where you are sitting.

Reflecting my wooden boxes and old bowling pin.

 Old oil paintings
 Peeking into the living room

Creating Reflection in your photos can give a hint of mystery to the picture....a peek into something somewhat hidden.

Next Weeks Challenge for September 17th is
CLOSER

Get close, really really close, as close as possible to something. Flowers, food, fabric, stones....close ups are fascinating,  (except perhaps people who won't appreciate you capturing their nose hairs).
Being that close can render the subject unrecognisable.
I am looking forward to seeing what you get really CLOSE to.

At the end of the month, I am taking a photography course, and hope to share some tips here on Photo Fridays.  It might be fun too if we follow some of the course assignments.
If anyone has an idea for a Photo Challenge, please let me know.

Duck Fight- Please Note - There were no ducks hurt in the phographing of this incident.

You know I love out of focus photos. The way they look like paintings.
Lots of movement and blurred lines.
Tonight, I was sitting peacefully on the dock with my camera photographing the ducks.
Sweet little ducks all cute and quacky.
I tossed a little piece of bread and.........
wham...the poor thing got her butt kicked.
And.....I caught it all on camera....a whirl of wonderful whirling movement, swirling water
and un-bridled duck aggression.

Country Wedding

Mother of the Brides purse-note the tissues

We had a wedding on Friday afternoon and evening.  Our friends/neighbors daughter.

The Dress

The best part......the ceremony was in a barn.
The flowers were so gorgeous....
White deck chairs with Paper Lanterns for pew markers.
My kind of architecture...

The view from the barn
The Reception was held in another barn
And a slightly differnet view.
Personalized favours...
A simple but beautiful cake....vanilla
The Head Table
And I got to take one of these gorgeous bouquets home.
a Peak...
Twinkle lights on the railings......don't know how I did this.....too much champagne?
I like to make a collage of my favourite images.
Congratulations J & K
