Stocking Stuffers! Glittered Converse.

I am the self proclaimed Queen of Stocking Stuffers.  Although my son is married now, I do believe he is hoping  I'll still stuff a stocking for him.  What age do stockings stop at???

I start early in the Fall.  I take 2 large paper bags or boxes and label them in my closet.  One for the Girl Child and one for the Boy Child.  As mothers of boys know, it is far easier to fill the girl stocking.......although with boys, a couple of pairs of boxers fill a lot more than a couple of thongs (for those of you with grown girls).

I spotted these yesterday......key chains don;t come any cuter than these mini Converse knock offs with a little Swarovski bling......available in clear or my favourite....PINK.

  2. They're adorable. It's funny, but I thought they were life size at first too. What do you put in the boy child's stocking? We gave up and just mostly put chocolate in the stockings - and some specialty beer for the older guys and some little fun things for the girls (because like we already agreed it is possible to find stocking stuffers for them).

  7. It's my experience Chania, that your kids are never too old to want Mum to fill their Christmas Stockings. Drug store finds, sweet-treats. I've now inherited one SIL who loves it too. My mandate?..while it may be frivolous, it can never be entirely useless. My favourite thing to add is some kind of reading material, be it an article clipped from a newspaper, magazine or just something I found that would be pertinent to the stocking-owner! Nothing pleases me more than seeing them all sitting around, post-breakfast, totally absorbed in their reading material.
We have a new addition to the family this year...eldest daughter's man...going to be interesting to find something for him to tuck into...although I hear he's a sucker for crosswords!

  8. I can totally relate to the stocking-stuffer quandry. This year I have a new DIL to consider - OMG, I have to get her a stocking! Just realized this... I love stocking stuffers. Ann

  10. Every year my boys tell me that their stockings are the best part of Christmas morning. They are in their 20s and I'm not planning on stopping anytime soon. I always find the best things....it's much easier than the big gifts and a lot more fun. Wonder if they'd like some converse bling! :)

  11. Two grown children now ... one with a family of his own ... stocking stuffed lovingly now by his wife... the other ... engaged to a lovely man, and for whatever reason has grown away from all connection to Christmas ... no tree, no presents, no Ho Ho Ho in their house. They still love to come over for Christmas dinner...the only stuffing I have to do is in the turkey!...life changes I just go with the flow!
    Love the little sneakers!
