Gifted.......

I much prefer shopping at flea markets to the shopping mall, perusing old bits and faded glories.....but this box of English soaps, certainly caught my eye. I was thinking it would make a delightful gift for a teacher such as blogger and newly graduated teacher Tina, or the discriminating Welsh blogger Mise, whose illustrated Christmas list is featured on her blog today.....or Jacqueline who finds Beauty In The Ordinary.

Mise looked up Heyland and Whittle and they claim they are
"Purveyors of fine soaps to the gentry and the filthy rich" You can visit them HERE
A delightful box of hand crafted soaps.

Snuggled into a tissue lined box, these natural soaps are embellished with charming little dried roses......

They look good enough to eat....

Such an assortment of gorgeous scents.....oh which to pick....?

A practical and fairly inexpensive gift ($25.00) that won't end up broken, out of fashion or in the rubbish next year...and a pretty box that can be covered or painted and used as wrapping for another gift..............

  1. Are you sure you can't eat them? Honestly, Chania, did you even try? Cuz I'm really thinking that you can. C'mon, just a nibble!

  4. These are gorgeous and I would be thrilled if these were gifted to me. It's the small little luxuries that make my heart go pitter patter, like a beautiful bookmark or lovely new coffee mug. Grand gestures are wasted on me..give me soap indeed!

    joy joy joy

  5. How exquisite and nougat-like - you're right, Chania, it's a present I'd love to get. I've just had a look at their website and they call themselves "purveyors of fine soaps to the gentry and the filthy rich" - that would draw a smile from me as I spent my money.

  11. I'm neither gentry nor filthy rich, but you are oh so right Chania...I would love them. I'm presently in my ban-the-liquid-soap-return-to-the-bar-soap-phase, so this would suit me to a T.
