Fashion Item of The Week.....Smoking Slippers

I am as tall as my husband, and despite Katie Holmes wearing heels around her ex Tom Cruise, I really don't like to tower over him, so I much prefer flat or low heels. That said, I do seek out fashionable flat shoes that will offer great comfort to fussy feet, along with good style. Some flats look flimsy, too girlishly cute or just plain orthopedic, so I am embracing the new trend of SMOKING SLIPPERS. Since I really can't wear my favorite Moccasins past the front door, I opted for the next best thing, and was on the lookout for a pair of trendy SMOKING SLIPPERS to wear with jeans and casual dresses. People who are on their feet all day swear by Sam Edelman shoes and boots, so when I spotted these in the Hudson Bay store I had to give them a try. And, they are just as comfy as a cushioned men's slipper, but with a funky faux animal print and a shiny nickel toe cap, these are NOT your grandpa's slippers. If I bend over, I can even apply my lipstick in the toe cap mirror.
