The Search Continues...........

I spotted this sweet little house while travelling up the Fraser River near Ladner BC

This sweet little house looks like it is easy to maintain and should take 10 minutes to clean.....plus the water feature and recreation are built right in.  I'd buy that right now..........(it was for sale a while ago) and tow it down to Florida so I don't have to start the process of looking for another house all over again.  When you purchase from afar (Canada) you have to do a lot of the leg work from a distance, so when we had made an offer on this home we were ready to commit.

However, the deal has collapsed as all things cannot be agreed.  So we start over.......  :(

  1. A little repair and this houseboat home would be perfect! until the Florida winds started to blow. Then you could have a new address every month or so.

  2. very idyllic...but a warm place like Florida is the best place for it. The Fraser River can be nasty for a lot of the year....

  6. I'm so sorry it's gone pear shaped Chania! Things will turn out - you'll see. Just think how you could transform that little houseboat. Perfect in Florida in all that lovely sunshine.

  7. So sorry to hear that, but I guess that just means something better is waiting for you. Just around that bend in the river :) All the very best with your search.

  8. Go for that one - the water would have to rise 12 feet before you were in trouble.

  10. I am sorry about the deal falling through. But I have high hopes that it will all work out for the best with your finding something much better than the house that did not happen.
All things happen for a reason ... remember that !
( Once when we were househunting, I found something that I just loved. My husband not so much. We did everything to be able to get this house but bad weather, high prices, you name it, kept keeping us apart. Then we gave up and summer came along and one day I drove past a house with a for sale sign and 4 months later it belonged to us and we loved it more than any house we have had .. Your house is out there waiting for you)

  12. Not meant to be, try to think mold and mildew issues from all that water. Have a great weekend, Lori

  14. I am so sorry Chania, that is just so disappointing when it happens. That houseboat looks a lot like the ones that fill the marinas in the Florida Keys.... Ann P.S. Wanna buy my house in Orlando? She's an oldie, but a goodie.
