My friend Chickie brought me these hot pink tulips as hostess gift. I placed them in a vase and popped them on the mantle. I was really chuffed with them. In my head, I thought "Yippie! look how spectacular that pink looks with my blue painting and how perfect they would be for Jane's Flowers in the House over at her lovely blog Small But Charming.
So, Yippie Yi Yay over HERE to visit Jane to see all the other pretty offerings this Monday.

Never knew that tulip stems continue to grow/elongated after they are cut and placed in a vase. I learned last year when a vase on my conference table turned into a medusa after 3 days. Your tulips (and vase) are a perfect counterpoint to the painting.
ReplyDeleteAs colorful as ever and perfect in the vase/with the painting.
ReplyDeleteHow was your party?
Colorful too I bet:-)
xo Jane
Those tulips look so beautiful in front of that also beautiful painting. Perfect.
ReplyDeletewow! Beautiful ones!
ReplyDeleteyou are so good at color placement! i'm so jealous. the pinks and blues are just jumping off my computer screen! have a lovely day my friend. xo
ReplyDeleteThe blue of that painting brings out the colors of the flowers much better than a white wall would. Good choice!

What a pretty and bright pink, and they do look great with your flower painting.
ReplyDeleteLovely - the colours really compliment each other.
ReplyDeleteI am with Z, do a blog on meaning of chuffed please. Love pink tulips with the painting.
ReplyDeleteLove the tulip container. Love pink!
ReplyDeleteMay absolute favorite flower - so pretty!
ReplyDeletePerfect timing indeed! Love that painting Chania. Amanda xx
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE the description 'HOT PINK' - such great words together, and even better when they describe such lovely tulips! The colour looks particularly amazing in front of the blue of your painting.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at the confusion over the word 'chuffed'. As a fellow Brit I get where you're coming from - I would have been thoroughly chuffed to bits to receive those flowers too - lol! x
p.s. Thank you SO much for visiting my blog and for your lovely comment - glad it brought me back to yours.
I've always loved tulips - I had white ones at our wedding. The hot pink does look stunning against that blue :)
ReplyDelete16 bucks would have excluded us at some moments in time for our family!!!! Beacon Hill Park in Victoria had the same thing but it was by donation.
