The Raz Family Christmas card is just as simple as it can get this year. No gold embossed and glittered scenes of a Winter wonderland, or a photo of us all in matching sweaters with the dog sitting at our feet. No....my card this year was a 5 minute production for all 25. A pack of blank white cardstock with envelopes from Michaels (bought way back in the summer), a robin ink stamp and a smudging of red across the robins breast. Stamp, stamp stamp.....swish, swish, swish...and I'm done. Honestly it took not more than a few minutes to do the whole pack. I also made a few gift tags while the ink was out. And if you think that I delved into my collection of watercolors to give the birds a faint blush....you would be mistaken. That crimson breast is done with my lip tint..it comes with a handy little brush for making the perfect little swoosh.
I was thinking of making Frenchie our Christmas card boy this year. I got as far as tying a beautiful red bow around his neck. He does however HATE the camera and turns away the minute it comes out. While I was bent on one knee trying to get his attention, he swooped up to the table and swiped my toast. This is him enjoying his first taste of toast with marmalade.
Your cards are adorable! Love the little tags too!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely lovely
ReplyDeleteI would frame one after I received it
Frenchie! what a sneak, stealing your toast. I love the cards and tags - I am putting that on my to-do for next year. How does the season always get away from me? I wish it was still November.
ReplyDeleteI love them - simple and classy!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the cards, Chania. Frenchie did you manage a cuppa along with that toast and marmalade? The Checkerboard Aussies would pass on the cuppa too I am sure.
ReplyDeleteLove your card . . . simple is so beautiful! Frenchie with a marmalade face would have been fun though . . .
ReplyDeletethat card is perfect! oh i just love it. xo
ReplyDeleteI love your cards - Like John said, I would want to frame one of them too.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are so elegant and Frenchie is adorable!!

Too funny. I bet Frenchie loved that little treat.
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity of your card. You are way ahead of me in that department. Hope you and your family have a beautiful Christmas. Take Care, Carrie
ReplyDeleteYour cards are perfectly simple and perfectly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteFunny about your model. My dog is the opposite and hams for the camera. I love the card, though the robin was an interesting choice. All of ours left months ago. Not known as a Christmas bird, but cute as can be anyway. Sometimes simple is way more elegant than all the glitter in the world.
