EEEEEEEK!!!!!!!

I came into Mr. Raz's office yesterday and the sun was shining through the window and right onto this lamp.
If I lived in Australia I would have been screaming at the sight of this
monstrous tarantula.
But given we are in cold and blustery Canada and our biggest spider is the size of  a quarter, I knew it was just the shadow of the lamp's insides that created this eerie image. I though it would be a good one to post on Shadow Shot Sunday at Hey Harriet.

And to let you know that when I was a young girl with a wild imagination, If I had seen this I may have called 911.

  10. Don't they call the inside of the lampshade a spider? Or did I just make that up? Anyway, great shot! Looks like a real spider for sure!

  14. Hahahaha...yup..thats about the real size of them here in Oz..we call them huntsman...but they are actually quite harmless believe it or not..if spotted...they are very rarely killed but just caught and transported..as they actually save us by killing the other deadly spiders we have lurking about. :)

  22. Oh boy, you may very well have inspired some nightmares here. ;-0 I am deathly afraid of insects any bigger than microscopic size. When I was single and living alone, I would call on neighbors or friends to come get rid of any unwanted insects.
