We 7 for 7 with sunny days here in Florida.....a wonderful treat for us Canadians in January. All through this house, lights streams in and highlights the everyday. I am an avid collector of of old jars, especially the turquoise ones. We were gearing up for Gin and Tonic cocktails and then noticed how pretty the lemons were next to the turquoise glass and the yellow mixer.
Although I have a few Ball and other jars, my favorites are the Canadian Crown Jars. These jars were made from 1880 to 1965. I have several from the early 1900's. You can tell by the pontil (round knob of glass on the bottom) the shape of the top and lid, and also by the actual crown on the front. Over the years Crown changed the motif which makes them very interesting to collect.
