Online Shopping

I said I wouldn't, but I just couldn't help myself. Despite a vow not to browse the MLS for a house in Florida until we sell the cottage, I perused the web this weekend and found three that I LOVE.  It's not good to fall for a house when you are not in a position to buy it.  YET.  The promise of an offer on the cottage after the buyers surgery in May, has me peeking and dreaming and furnishing houses I have never set foot in.

The one above is follows my mandate exactly.  Historic, cottagey, charming. I can picture myself sitting there, mohito in hand.

But, then again......an Historic Spanish style home could be such an interesting project... I've never decorated a house like this and think it would be great fun............

House number 3 checks all the boxes on charm and comes with two rental units......perfect for guests and my kids and renters.  This one has a real beach vibe........

Which one do you like???????????????

  2. The first one, see I've hanged the flowers already and my son he is running on the lawn just there next to the huge tree.

I know that feeling I've done it a few times, the after is just unpleasant when the move does not work out. But then next time I do it again.
Oh, why? Is difficult to answer.

Hope these changes happens for you much sooner than it seems now.

  4. I love houses 1 and 3 equally, but if #3 has a place I can rent from you when it's freezing cold next winter, then I'm all for that one! ;-)

  6. Love them all Chania. But, Nos. 1 & 3 really speak to me. I would be on the hunt too. We are selling in a year and half and that hasn't stopped us from house hunting either. It doesn't hurt to know what your options are right???

  10. The Spanish house screams old Florida! I'm from Ft. Lauderdale and the last thing I would buy is a wood house. One, because of the TWO different kinds termites there and TWO, hurricanes.

Be sure to check house insurances stuff before purchase.

  18. Chania,

Number three wins in my book - it looks just like somewhere you'd be. Plus, it has space for all of your friends to come stay (like me). I cannot see you at all in #2 - it seems to structured. How fun to be looking for a new spot and how sad to say goodbye to the old place. I know there are a lot of memories there.
